Nursing uniforms are outfits put on by nurses purposely for sanitation along with classifying of what they are. There is also what they call the old uniform which is composing of a white dress, an apron and a cap which is hard for them to get rid of for the past years. It was even formulated from the nun’s habit, because before the 19th century the nuns were the ones who lay hold of ill and tortured persons in the street.

Once or twice medical suit still includes the white cotton lab coat for people to identify doctors or nurses. Such institutions like hospitals can carry out exact suggestions for the sake of medical uniforms, although normally the utmost part of the nursing uniform is not the clothe any medical personnel have put on but the badge or logo that indicates that such person is a employee or staff member of the said hospital. Any personnel of the hospital not wearing the prescribe scrub uniform with a badge or logo may be considered as a serious offense, because there have been many incidents in the previous years that some people tried to act like one and run off with prescriptions, harms the patient and if possible snatched a baby.

Cotton scrub uniforms turned out to be the favorite choice of medical uniforms for the reason that doctors and nurses holds a job for stringy hours and for that they should and must wear something comfortable for them. Some nurses tend to wear scrubs that have prints like cartoon characters or colored patterns to decrease the fearfulness of patients especially to the children. Despite the fact that nurses were given the chance to have a choice of their own, but still there are limitations to it because some hospital requires a certain color of scrubs and has a distinctive badge or logo in it that will identify them that they are a member of that institution.

Back in College, we have three sets of uniforms.

The first one was a daily uniform which compose of a pink skirt and a white blouse with a pink tie.  The second one was a white gala dress. This is a white skirt and long sleeve blouse with a cute pink ribbon which we wore every first Friday of the month during mass celebration. The last one was a uniform which we wore during our senior year. It was a white slack and blouse which is just like a nursing uniform. That's why we were always mistakenly identified as medical students.

But in-spite the fact that it was not traditional considering most of universities here in our place have only one uniform (excluding lab coat which is required during laboratory classes) I am still okay with it because I just really love our uniforms. And I like its fabric too. It's comfortable to wear and of course it's chic that's why I still kept them until now.

How about you? What kind of uniform do you have? Is your uniform, school uniform, office uniform or scrub uniforms good enough? What are the things that you consider when you buy one?

My Christmas Party experience with JairoSolutions.

It was our Christmas Party and at the same time despidida/farewell party for Vicsante Aseniero or simply called "Bing", our former Regional Chief Solution officer.

At around 6:00 in the evening, we went to Buffet Palace - our venue for the party. We satisfied first our enormous appetites with great food such as lechon kawali, fresh salads, kinilaw, chicken pork adobo, shrimps, squids, Halo-halo, mango float, cakes, leche plan and others. Name it! Hmmnn...The money you have paid is really worth it when you are served with these kind of delicious food in an eat all you can resto. Hehehehe..

Afterwards, the party has officially started. We had games and a showcase of talents. Noel, the representative from the trainees was the first presentor. His cute and unique way of entertaining us was really an ice breaker. I don't know if he really knows how to play the guitar or he knows the tune of the song but we were really entertained. Just the thought of trying to do something when you are not good at...it was so sweet of him. (Oh I just hope I have described it well for the benefit of those who are not present).

Next was the singing prowess of Aloha and her group. It is with no doubt, Aloha is such a performer. It is just so amazing to see a woman plucking a guitar with such a nice voice. I know there are still many out there in the team, they are just shy for now to show such talent. Hehehehee...

The "Love team" had prepared something also. A blooper of one of the famous Filipino soaps/drama the local showbiz industry has produced - "Maging Sino ka Man". Remember the scene where JB says, "I never said that I love you...". Joie took the role of Sam Milby and I (yours truly) for the role of Anne Curtis with a love triangle to Fritz. It was Joie choosing Fritz over me. Hehehee..(Hope you get the idea)

There was also a special number before “Bing” had to say his parting message and before our exchange gifts. UIC girls (Me, Yvon and Rose) prepared a lip synch of Last Christmas. To be honest, we chose that kind of presentation because we were afraid we might get out of tune if we sing live while dancing. Heheheeeh…

Moving forward, the moment has finally arrived where “Bing” has to say goodbye.  He was so thankful for the experiences he had with JairoSolutions, in working with us and for everything. He also assured us that we are in good hands under the tutelage of Jong, the person who will be replacing him.

Oh…we will truly miss you, Bing. We are also thankful that we had a boss like you, you are such a cool guy. We will never forget you especially this word – “SILBI”. Your all time favorite filler. Heheehehe…

All in all, the event proved to be a success and worthy of a celebration; a way to end for the year 2008, a way to start the Christmas break, and a way to celebrate for a new beginning for all of us – to forgive, to share and to love. That day was also special because we never expected that it was our last time to bond with some of our colleagues aside from Bing. It’s sad but we have to accept the fact. That’s why this quote from Charles M. Schulz really applies,

“Why can't we get all the people together in the world that we really like and then just stay together?  I guess that wouldn't work.  Someone would leave.  Someone always leaves.  Then we would have to say good-bye.  I hate good-byes.  I know what I need.  I need more hellos. “

Anyways, looking for more pictures???? Check them out here.

I was organizing my files in my computer when I found these pictures of ours (Jairo Ladies). We had some picture taking while there was no internet connection that time. Grabbing the opportunity and have to zone out from our work for a while guys, so please understand...heehehe..

Anyway, take a look at the beautiful us  -  cam whoring with our stuffed toys. (*grin).

from left to right (Yvon, Rose, Aloha, Jhona)

Oh did I say our? I was not even in the picture and I don't have stuffed toy also in the office. How sad, they only had me as their photographer. (Huhuhuhuhu....)But seriously, do you think I would allow that? Find it out after the jump.

And here's my own fair share. Solo picture with a borrowed stuffed toy. Take note - I used borrowed. So to anyone who feels like giving me a gift - I want to have a stuffed toy also preferably teddy bear. Thanks ahead! Hehehehehehe....

I wasn't really able to sleep that much the night before we will have our outing. Aside from the fact that I have the difficulty of sleeping, the excitement I am feeling somehow adds up. Well you know, JairoSolutions is the first company I have work with and I will be experiencing my first company outing. (Whew! As in for the first time)

So I turned in late. I mean, slept only during wee hours - few hours to go for our rendezvous. (Jaaahhhh.. ) But its fine with me, I can handle it. My mom will wake me up also, she's like my alarm clock in times like this. Hehehehe..

And the day has finally arrived where we heads out to spend some time together outside the office. Hmmnphh.. It was definitely a great way to loosen up a bit and where was that again? Oh, in Km. 20 Los Amigos Tugbok where you can find  Villa Christina Orchids Garden and Resort last August 30.

[from L-R (front row): Alvin, Joan, JJ, Jhona, Yvon, Leslie, Aloha, Tino, Rose and Alma, at the back L-R: James, Fritz, Jeff and Bernard]

We were at awe to see the beauty of the place - the romantic flowers, the long and attracting swimming pool, fruits (durian, pomelo), cottages, etc...We went around taking pictures almost everywhere. Some started the singing Bee challenge already (special mention to Doods and Aloha), chit-chats, drinking session as well as the preparation of food. Speaking of the latter, I am so eager to know what will be served before us. (Stomach was growling..hehehehe) Okay….so we have lechon, fried chicken, grilled pork and fish, pansit, fruit salad and some junkfoods also. The food was more than enough to satisfy our enormous appetites. Hehehehe..(Bring house lagi). In between things we had time to dip in the water, played some fun games, sung our lungs out and drank our selves(is that right?) and even relax a bit in the shade.

There are dozens more moments like this, but this post would be too long & self-indulgent to recapture them all. Suffice it to say we had a great time. And of course, after expending all that energy, some wrapped up the day with another meal before heading back, the better part of exhausted, to each of our homes, for a hot shower and bed.

Au Revoir! I'm honestly at a loss for words now.  So let the above pics speak of what we had that day. Wakekkekeke…Arigato gozaimasu everyone for the wonderful experience and for everything.

I know this post has been long overdue because our Team Building event was actually last October 4-5 and now we are already on the 1st week of November. (Amazing..ness???) But I believe it is still fine (at least), as the cliché goes, "Its better late than never". We may not be able to immediately translate into words (through blogging) the things that had happened on our team building but the memories remain cherished in our hearts even as time flies by. (Emote...)

Well that’s definitely because it was our first team building. It was an anticipated and long-planned event of the Admin for JairoSolutions' employees to be able to not only enjoy each others’ company (outside office) but at the same time build an organizational development through teambuilding.

It was pursued through self-assessment and group-dynamic games that started even before the said day came. We were grouped into three by our HR officer and were given tasks to do marketing for our assigned meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner) on a limited time with money to budget. The preparation itself was a group effort already. Not to mention the planning of what food to cook, bringing of utensils and the designation of other tasks for our two-day stay at La Rouse, a place located in Talomo and exclusively reserved only for us.

Moving on, we arrived at La Rouse during lunch time. Aloha's group had to prepare the food first and while waiting, we satisfied our eyes with the beauty of the place. It was homey, nice and certainly conducive for family gatherings, outings and of course, teambuilding. Hehehehehe...Aside from that, we also relaxed a bit on our respective rooms, did some chit-chats, played tong-ets while a live music is playing in the airwaves...

And for the food, we really had a feast on them. They are all yummy! (Teewaii guys!) It was good to learn that we have great cooks here in JairoSolutions. Hmmnn.. We hope to discover more of them...

Later that day, we started our first activity. We had to share something about us and the number of what we will have to share will be based on how many nips chocolate we had eaten. (Weeee…Joie tricked us with this). Good thing that it didn’t really happen on the actual sharing because there are some things that you should keep to yourself right? And it was explained to us by Joie through the Johari’s Window.

Next to that were the games. I don’t exactly know what where the title of those but they were fun and good enough. It was fun because the whole time, I see most of us were smiling and laughing out loud (Naiimagine ko ngayon). And good enough to test us because Joie put us on a situation where we had to throw someone in the pool (Hahahahahaha…imagine that?) But Joie explained everything why he did those things. And it was such a good learning …We also had to share our insights on what had happened that day. And it felt good - the result of feeling part of something larger than yourself, of contributing something for the team and achieving its purpose. Just like understanding the mission and objectives of JairoSolutions. (Whew!)

Anyways, I honestly can’t wait for our next team building. Looking forward to learn more and experience fun at the same time! Thanks for making our first team building possible and a success!

More pics, check them out here, here and here…Hehehehehe…
